Revenu Québec + Construction

The laws that govern contracts with public and municipal bodies currently provides the requirement that a company wishing to conclude a construction contract of more than $ 25,000 with some public bodies, municipal or public transport companies must obtain an Attestation de Revenu Québec. As of March 1st, 2016, this certificate must also be obtained for the private sector.
To obtain the certificate, the applicant must fulfill two requirements at the date of the request. He must have filed the returns and reports required under Québec tax laws and must not have any overdue account with the Minister of Revenue of Québec or, if he has, he has reached a payment agreement and observes it, or the collection of its debts has been legally suspended.

It’s possible to verify the authenticity of a certificate online on the Revenu Québec website.
